Zo Humanities and Social Sciences Research Hub (OPC) Private Limited is established to elevate standards and expand opportunities in the Humanities and Social Sciences in Mizoram. Incorporated under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, pursuant to sub-section (2) of section 7 and sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, and rule 18 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014.
Our research hub serves as a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to research, publication, and collaboration across the humanities and social sciences.
Under the Zo Humanities and Social Sciences Research Hub, two key platforms operate:
CHSSR functions as a research institute, offering fellowships and grants to support Mizo scholars in advancing their academic and research pursuits.
This publication platform fosters cross-disciplinary dialogue and scholarly exchange through research articles and academic discussions.
Together, these platforms promote academic inquiry and knowledge dissemination through publications, events, workshops, and collaborations.

The Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences Research (CHSSR) is an internal organization that serves as an institute. It gives research fellowship and grants to selected candidates, solely designed for Mizo applicants.
Currently CHSSR is funding one researcher to advance independent studies in the humanities and social sciences related to Mizoram.
CHSSR Research Grant 2025 is awarded to Remruatkima. As a recipient of this award, Remruatkima will pursue his research under the mentorship of Dr. Laithangpuii, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, The ICFAI University Mizoram.
